Subject: FW: VU FAN: Planned Domestic Water Outage
Importance: High
All,
Please forward the following information to all of your department/center personnel who are affected by this planned outage.
As part of our facility renewal projects this year, we are replacing the domestic water pump which services MRB3/LL. The pump is located in a mechanical room at the entrance to the dock where the gate rolls up/down. We are scheduling the work to begin at 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 6th, and end at 6:00 AM on Friday, January 7th. During this time, MRB3 and LL will be closed to all occupants and VUPS will be patrolling the space for safety reasons to ensure no one enters. This includes access to the MRB3 loading dock.
**Importantly domestic water will be shut down to the building at 8 pm.
If there is any equipment that need constant supply of domestic water (e.g. chillers), these instruments must be turned off prior to 8 pm. This does not affect the DI water supply.
If the temperature is above 50 degrees, we will have to postpone the project until the following Thursday, January 13th. Work would commence and end at the same times.
Best,
Josh
