GPU image analysis Computer

The facility houses a state-of-the-art Linux workstation with Titan X GPU and local RAID filesystem for data collection and initial data reduction. The computer is connected to the K2 Summit DED camera with high speed (10GB) Ethernet for fast data transfer while collecting data on the FEI Polara. The GPU computer is used for motion correction of the DED movies and other GPU software. It can run preprocessing scripts to enable real-time processing.

The facility does not have the capacity for EM data storage. Be advised that cryo-EM datasets collected on the Gatan DED camera can be ranage from 2-5 TB per data collection session.
