Hi all,

There is a correction regarding access to MRB3. MRB3 is on the same access that it has been for the last 10 days: the building is locked but can be entered via key card access.

I'm walking on sunshine. (Yeah!) I'm walking on sunshine. (Yeah!) I'm walking on sunshine. (Yeah!) And don't it feel good? Hey!

Yes, 80's pop is today's theme. I was sooo happy to see the sun this week! I hope you take advantage and GO OUTSIDE! You can take a walk, go for a run or sit outside and read a book and still maintain your social distance. Just be sure to wash your hands when you get back home.

I received new information regarding building access:

Yesterday, VUMC implemented a plan which mandated that VUMC personnel screen everyone for COVID-19 symptoms as they are coming into their buildings (e.g., taking your temperature and asking about symptoms). Anyone who passes the screening will be given a badge to wear while inside the buildings. Importantly, all entrances that are not be staffed by personnel have had the card access locked down for those doors. VUMC has over 2,000 card access entrances across the medical center and it has taken them a while to program each door. As a result, some of these entrances which we use frequently such as Light Hall still allow entry, but we cannot expect this to continue. The attached image shows the locations of the temperature-taking sites and entrances (denoted as a red star). Here are suggested entrances for you depending on your destination and where you parked.

* For access to MCN and MRB3, everyone must enter the new MCN Clinical Research Center (the roundwing).

* For access to MRB4, Light Hall, RRB or PRB, you can either (1) enter PRB at the building's main entrance near the Monroe Carroll Children's Hospital, (2) enter the MCN CRC and use the tunnel under Eskind Library or (3) enter the northwest corner of the Hospital near Panera Bread and use the tunnel under the plaza.

If you are able, please support local restaurants during this time of #stayathome! If you're in the midtown area, I received this from Urban Cookhouse:
