Structural Biology SGI inst packages (tardist format)
These are packages we've built in-house with local customizations.
Visit http://freeware.sgi.com
for lots more free pre-packaged software for the SGI platform.
These packages should work on systems with R4000 and newer processors
which are running IRIX 6.2 or later.
OpenSSH 3.4p1 |
This inst package installs the OpenSSH binaries under
/usr/local/bin and /usr/local/sbin and puts its configuration files in
/etc/ssh. After installation, as root, run the included
init script with the command "/etc/init.d/sshd start ". This will
generate your host keys for you (if they don't already exist in /etc/ssh), and
start the sshd daemon on your system. Thereafter, the daemon
will be started automatically at boot time.
IMPORTANT: You must create a user and group called
'sshd' in order for privilege seperation to work. Also, this package
assumes you are not using shadowed passwords. If you are currently using
them you will need to turn them off in sysmgr for this package to
function properly.
If you are already running an older Structural Biology OpenSSH package
this script will automate the upgrade
for you including adding the privsep user.

tcp_wrappers 7.6 |
This package installs tcp_wrappers version 7.6.
It will also install the configuration files /etc/inetd.conf /etc/hosts.deny
and /etc/hosts.allow with reasonable defaults for machines on the Vanderbilt
network. Pre-existing versions of these files will be backed up with a .O
extension prior to being overwritten.
